Missions & OutreachGrace Point wants to be faithful to reach out to those that don't yet know Christ (Matthew 28:18-20), as well as those less fortunate than ourselves (Psalm 82:3). With this goal in mind, we participate in the following missions and local outreach opportunities. Care and Feeding of Homeless(2nd Monday of each month) 6:00 - 8:00 PM. We'll leave GPC at 5:15 PM and carpool to the Salvation Army building. Sign up at the Outreach Table on Sunday. A list of donations can also be found on the Outreach Table on Sundays in the Courtyard. Come and help hand out sandwiches, blankets, water bottles, pick up trash, provide encouragement to those in the homeless shelter. Alamar and Miramar Food PantryHelp feed hungry children each week. Pastor Fernando and his staff feed 300 children each week. You can help today and on a continuous basis by picking up any of the following items when you shop. The items can be dropped off at church M-F between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and also on Sunday mornings. *Cash donations can also be made and someone will do the shopping for you. Make checks payable to GPC, with the ‘Mexico Pantry’ in the memo line. Shopping List For Mexico Mission TripsRice – 25-50 lbs bags **weight/count and prices from Smart & Final Honduran CoffeeAward winning organic coffee grown in the mountains of Honduras is available at the Outreach Table on Sundays. 100% of all profits go toward feeding children in a public hospital in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. Not only are lives being saved, but many of the children are accepting Jesus as their personal Savior through this feeding program. Church Food PantryOur church has a food pantry. If you'd like to donate food there is a list of suggested items to donate on the Outreach Table on Sunday. If you know of a family in need contact Jill at (858) 353-0841. Menu's and order placement is available at the Outreach Table or at www.treasurebox.org Mosaic Vision - Uganda AIDS OrphansThis ministry supports children who have lost both parents to AIDS. Proceeds will go to help build a new orphanage in Haiti. San Diego CityFest Luis Palau - Sept. 11San Diego CityFest is coming Saturday, Sept. 11th to Mission Bay Park from 12:00pm - 9:00pm. Invite your family & friends to this great festival. Admission is free. Mexico Missions/Centro Shalom Education SponsorshipWe still have 10 children available for sponsorship. Your generous contribution will pay for their school tuition, uniform, supplies, and after school support & nutrition. You can also personalize backpacks, Christmas shoeboxes, & birthday gifts if you like. There will be two lunch celebrations each year to connect with your child to get an update on their progress in school and to pray and share some special time together. This is optional if you are not able to visit, we can provide and exchange letters and pictures of you for them and vice versa if you like.
